As everyone should know, Kyuhyun has a gamer friend. (T/N: I believe he has more than just one, rofl.) This friend participated in the filming of the variety show, MBC Game Star Infinity Challenge, and had a call-out to Kyuhyun during the segment.

Once the phone connection was established, the host said that they are in the midst of filming and Kyuhyun responded immediately saying that the host is truly a great host, and commented that the host’s ability to play games so well is very amazing.

His friend then took over the conversation, saying, “Kyuhyun-ah, it’s been tough on you.” Kyuhyun jokingly asked, “May I know who are you?”

Kyuhyun went on to claim that he is an earnest viewer and that this friend of his is currently still practising diligently but wishes he will do well nonetheless.

The host asked, “If there is a concert, how about asking your good friend to perform?” Kyuhyun laughed, before saying that he has been to the noraebang with him several times before, and that it seemed quite impossible for him to invite his friend to perform. His friend then said he hopes the activities for “7 Years’ Love” as well as those of future promotions will be carried out successfully. He added that he believes Kyuhyun will definitely do well and thus is not the least worried for him.

After which, his friend made use of the chance given to him to relay an intimate message to Kyuhyun on air, saying, “Kyuhyun-ah, I love you.” To which Kyuhyun replied, “I don’t like.”

Lastly, Kyuhyun gave words of encouragement and blessings, saying he hopes there will be more viewers tuning in to this variety show.

How to find textbooks online for free: a post.:

Textbooks are fucking expensive, and if your professor doesn’t require a physical copy (most don’t - they just want you to have the book at hand. Or maybe even not. Some professors literally give no fucks about whether you have the book or not) and you don’t mind having your copy as an electronic copy - this is the post for you!

Most textbook companies put out new editions every year or so even though there isn’t really that much new information. Sometimes they’ll eliminate questions if it’s something like a math or chemistry book or they’ll add in a few sentences about updated legislation (the professor I work for teaches human sexuality, and the newest edition of the book she uses included the 2009 decision to allow same-sex couples have hospital visitation rights). These new editions are pointless and only created to make the textbook company money and to cut down on students selling to each other. You’re going to ignore that. We love older editions. Make sure when you’re searching on the following sites that you don’t include the edition number to give you more search results. If one with your edition comes up - great! If not, you can usually stick to something one to three editions behind without any major changes.

I should also mention that checking your school’s library for a book you can check out to either keep for the semester or scan the pages you need is also a great option. I saved $90 the semester after I wrote this by borrowing a chemistry lab manual from the library and just scanning the labs I needed instead of buying one for myself that I couldn’t even sell later on.

Sites you should be searching:

FilesTube - FilesTube searches THE ENTIRE INTERNET for files uploaded to file-sharing websites such as Rapidshare, Mediafire, or WuUpload. Sometimes people will upload pdf files of your textbook. This is always an important first search.

Google Books - You usually won’t find your textbook on Google Books, but it’s always worth a look. Sometimes pages are missing because it’s only a preview of the book, but again - always worth a look.

Scribd - People upload documents to Scribd and by becoming a member (free!) or connecting through Facebook (if you’re lazy!), you can download whatever files you may find. This sometimes includes textbooks.

BookBoon - website specifically for finding pdf versions of textbooks

Curriki - free open source materials

Flat World Knowledge - free business, humanities, and science textbooks

California Learning Resource Network

Open Culture

Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources

TorrentScan - textbooks are also uploaded to torrent sites in some cases - you may as well check.

If push comes to shove, you can try variations of googling “textbook name torrent” or “textbook name download” or “textbook name download free.” Sometimes things pop up and I never would have known about them.

LibraryPirate is a torrent search site specifically for textbooks. (Added 10 October 2011)

JenkThat - I haven’t tried this out yet, but I’ve heard good things from others. It’s also a good place to find other ebooks that aren’t textbooks. (Added 29 December 2011)

Bookfi - I just briefly looked at this site and searched for a few common terms and it looks great! Download links are provided straight from the search results. Definitely useful! (Added 1 August 2012)

I’ve found all 8 of my textbooks for this term (19 credit hours, six classes) through one of the methods above. I’m not even going to look at retail prices, but checkingBigWords.com (which, if you want to buy your books/can’t find them anywhere with one of the previous methods, will give you the cheapest price on the internet), I saved $497.87 by doing this. It takes time, but it’s definitely worth almost $500 worth of time. If you know of more ways to find free textbooks - please let me know!

To this list, I’d also add Coinread, which for me has kind of filled the niche left by BookFi after a lot of their download links stopped working.

(In no small part because a lot of the books on Coinread are the exact same versions downloadable elsewhere; I’ve just found that Coinread currently has the most complete aggregate library as far as my own needs go.)

Caveat, though: only 99.99% percent of books on Coinread are free. Occasionally if a book is really new, you have to pay like a dollar to download it, via e.g. Amazon giftcard. You also used to be able to upload your own books for site credit, but it looks like that feature is disabled at the moment.

Is it a totally illegal moneymaking scheme? Yes. Are the books still complete and of perfectly legit quality? Yes. I signed up with a throwaway gmail account, used an Amazon giftcard for the few books I needed that weren’t free, and haven’t had any issues.

*shrug?*

TL;DR, take the obvious precautions, but it works, especially if you can’t find the book in question elsewhere on the internets.

So, this is the story of how I met Cho Kyuhyun, my first and ultimate bias. He isn’t just a bias to me but the one I’ll follow till I die. This is the second time I see him. When he arrived at the airport, as I work there, I met him when he was waiting to pick up his luggage.

My sister, my friend and I went downtown in Madrid to see if we could get lucky and find Kyuhyun somewhere. Madrid is a big city but there are at least a couple of places someone who is visiting the town must go to.

We were talking a walk, going to Plaza Mayor first, towards Palacio Real. We never believed we would be lucky enough to find him at that time (almost 3pm) because he could be having lunch at that time. We walked to the main gate of the Palace when we met him in front of us. He was leaving the Palace, he passed besides us while we were thinking about what to do! We went to talk to him. When we were by his side we greeted him and asked him if he could sign us an autograph.

The day was really sunny so he pointed to the shadow beside us so we could stay there away from the sun. He signed a couple of CDs and I asked him if he was fine. He said he was ok a couple of times, slightly smiling. We asked him when was he going to Barcelona very slowly, making him some short questions and, although he understood the questions, he didn’t know how to answer them. He tried to answer in English really hard but he could just say some words. He said he was leaving at dinner time but it wasn’t clear for us if he was going to come back to Madrid or not. I told him I had a bottle of wine for him as present. He thanked us for it but said that he was going to walk today though Madrid so it was better not to take it with him. After that, I finally asked him if it was possible to take a photo with him because I couldn’t take it yesterday inside the baggage claim lounge yesterday when he arrived at Madrid. He said his wasn’t looking good enough today but I just told him that wasn’t true because he looked absolutely perfect!! He smiled while I told him many times that he looked beautiful and perfect and he can’t say he doesn’t look fine!!! Smiling he agreed to have a photo with us. We took that photo with him (I never ever thought he could touch our backs while taking the photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) We thanked him again and wished him a pleasant trip. When he was leaving, it wasn’t clear whether he was going to come back to Madrid or not so I asked my friend if she could ask him that in Chinese because I was sure it would be easier for him to talk to us in Chinese.

We chased him again and asked him if In Chinese if he was going to go to Barcelona and come back to Madrid. My friend told him that I really wanted to give him the wine. He said he was going to Barcelona in the afternoon and as we told him that I wanted to give him the wine, he said it was fine and he would take the wine but my friend told him that we didn’t want him to carry the wine all the way while sightseeing and told him that we could give it to him before he left Madrid. She asked him if he was leaving by train and he said he was going by Renfe and he would be there at 19:30. We said goodbye and told him we’d meet later.

We couldn’t believe he had told us when he was leaving!!! So at 6pm we went to the station just in case. We waited, thinking he would take the train that departures at 19:30 but when 19:30 came by, minutes started to pass by and he didn’t show up…

Since we had nothing to do, we decided to wait just a little longer, just in case he meant he was going to come at 19:30 to pick up the 20:00 train. It was 19:50 and we finally saw him!! He came towards us smiling. He said in Chinese he didn’t have time to stay with us because he was going late, while pointing at his watch. He showed us his ticket and asked if that was the right place to take the train. We told him he was in the right place and I finally gave him the wine. We thanked him for all he did for us and we said goodbye to each other. And before finally leaving, my friend told him: SS4 In Spain!!! He smiled and went away.

My personal opinion: He’s a man absolutely adorable, sweet, shy, good person, awesome and way more beautiful in real life than in photos or videos…
He has always been my ultimate bias and, from today, he’ll be in that position all his life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
